Health data is read on your device, by you, through your platform's own permission sheet (Apple Health / Health Kit on iPhone; Health Connect for Samsung Health and Google Health on Android). Only the walking totals described above are uploaded. Your Apple, Google and Samsung passwords, walking routes and heart rate are not requested. Your steps, distance, profile, city and group information are never passed to the advertising SDK.
The Android app uses Google AdMob. Test builds display Google's sample ads and do not earn revenue. When live advertising is enabled, the app requests non-personalized ads and checks Google's consent requirements before requesting ads. Where required, you can reopen the consent form through Settings > Ad privacy choices.
Before loading ads, the app asks you to choose an age range. The choice is saved on your phone and is used to send an age-related ad-protection flag to Google. No birthdate is collected, and the choice is not uploaded to our walking server. The app does not load ads for an Under 13 selection. Ages 13 to 17 receive restricted ad treatment. You can change your choice in Settings > Ad age range. Ad requests limit creative content to Google's General audience rating.
Google's advertising SDK collects and shares IP addresses, ad interactions, diagnostics and device or account identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. IP addresses may reveal an approximate location. This app removes the Android advertising ID permission. Non-personalized ads still involve this technical data collection. Read Google's advertising privacy information.
Community safety: we store your acceptance of the community rules and the walkers or groups you block. If you send a report, we store its reason, optional explanation and a snapshot of the reported shared profile or group, including its uploaded photo where applicable. The app moderator uses this information to investigate abuse and record review decisions. Reports and block lists are not shown to other walkers and are not supplied to advertisers. Do not include passcodes, private contact details or health records in reports. Read the community rules.
The website and API run on Vercel, and account and walking records are stored in Supabase's hosted Postgres database in Singapore. Records remain until you ask the operator to remove them.
The "cheer" button stores a random browser key to limit cheers to one per day. This key is separate from your profile sign-in.
To request deletion of your account and its associated data, email adminnutricart@gmail.com with the subject "Vine & Stride account deletion". Include your display name and a group you belong to so we can find the account. Do not send your passcode, sign-in token or health records.
We verify account ownership before processing a request. Account deletion removes your profile, uploaded walking history, optional profile photo and group memberships from our active records. It does not remove other walkers' accounts or the original health records on your phone. You can also request deletion of specific uploaded walking data without deleting your account through the same email address. Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account. Limited safety-report evidence and review records may be retained where needed to investigate abuse or meet legal obligations. Ask the operator about a specific safety record when requesting deletion.
